Robert and Mary Williams Family Giving Plan
The twelve Williams siblings were looking for a way to honor their parents, Bob and Mary, for their lifetime of giving and generosity. They wanted to ensure their values carried through the next generations. They created WIGIV – the Robert and Mary Family Giving Plan. Donations from this fund, as well as the time and energy from their 12 children, their spouses and 27 grandkids, are directed to small, local charitable organizations that Bob and Mary choose each year.
House of Peace was selected because it met the criteria of small, local and focused on improving poverty. The family held a drive to support HoP donation center with household items at Christmas, and will be making fleece blankets at Easter. June 8 is the date for its fundraising event, which will be a 5K walk/run in the area. Beginning in mid-April, wigiv.org will provide additional details about the event.
