When the mothers and their children are ready to move out of the shelter, House of Peace helps them to relocate to their new apartment, the following items are always in need:
Items Needed at this Time (New or Gently Used):
- Pots and Pans
- Flatware Sets (especially forks and spoons)
- Sheet Sets (twin, full and queen)
- Basic Blankets (twin, full and queen)
- Complete Towel Sets and extra Bath Towels
- Drinking Glassware Sets
- Pillows (new only)
- Kitchen/Cooking Utensils (spatulas, serving spoons, etc.)
Will Also Accept (New or Gently Used):
- Small Appliances (Coffeemakers, Toasters, Blenders, Countertop Microwave Ovens, etc.)
- Additional Kitchen Supplies (Mixing Bowls, Bakeware, Garbage Bins, Cleaning Supplies, etc.)
- Bathroom Accessories (Shower Curtains, Waste Baskets, Soap Dishes, etc.)
Unfortunately, we cannot accept the following items:
- Car-seats, cribs, strollers
- Large furniture items
- Tube TVs
The Wellness Program is an important part of the healing process at House of Peace, the following items can help support the Wellness Program:
- Museum Passes
- Jump American Passes
- Marcus Theater Passes
- Play dough
- APPLE-Brand paint and canvas
- Yoga mats
- Notebooks for journaling
- Markers/Sharpies/Brushes
