This cross symbolizes the love of God that holds all of us inside of him, providing a shelter from the storms and darkness. The birds represent all of the moms at the House of Peace in search of the warmth and light of the sun. The sun represents hope for a new day. The green and the branches of the tree support and nourish the life of the birds that live in there. L.B
At the House of Peace I experienced the love of a community. I had never experienced that before. I felt loved for who I was. People care about me. I discover what companionship and sisterhood are. I stopped feeling isolated and sad. Little by little I felt at home and I found a new family: my House of Peace family. My love for God and my faith grow stronger. L.B.
